Ah Sunday

Another layed back Sunday.  After the mornings unmentionable ritual we had pancakes with strawberries and home made maple syrup.  A little rest, then a 25 mile tandem ride North.  The winds were pretty light, so we were moving along pretty smartly and feeling very good.  This was my 4th day in a row of riding, with 2 days having been hard rides, but I felt pretty good and so did Terry.  We deviated from our standard North short route and looked for the more scenic routes, which we found, going along panther creek and crossing the Stillwater at Sugargrove.  A little more climbing than usual, but overall a nice ride.

HillRepeatws

A little windy this morning and cool, so I set out to warm up doing hill repeats.  The usual Kessler Frederick route, nicely protected from the wind.  I used bigger gears (34x 13 and 34x14) to stress my legs a little. I felt really good and felt some power going up the hill, although I did gasp a little on the first 2 repeats.  I got home in time to finish the mowing and pick some broccoli and beans.  Turned out to be a really nice day, staying in the 60's but sunny.

Big Storms

We woke up to the tornado siren last night with non-stop lightning.  Nothing broken though, this morning.  I should ride today, but after riding 75 Saturday and then 20 on each of Sunday and Monday, I should rest.  The river's are up so no kayaks today either.  I managed to get the lawn mowed just before the storms yesterday.  Trying to get into the right mood to visit Columbia this weekend.
