March is Hard

I invited the usual suspects over for a 40 mile jaunt out around Bradford.  Rob and Bruce showed up and we had a spirited ride through the back roads.  It was a little windy out of the Northeast but Bruce pulled me into the wind once I got tired.  We only average mid 15's, probably because of waiting for me now and then.  I felt ok though and was able to hang on the small hills mostly once I got warmed up.  The strebgth workouts are helping a little.  I definitely feel stronger.

On The Road Again

Temps in the mid 40's and sunny can only mean one thing.  Road trip! I took it pretty easy and did 20 miles at around 15, climbing The Bend, Johnson, Sugarcreek and Rangeline.  I felt pretty good, but tired a little towards the end.

Working Out

It's early March and time outside on the road has been very limited, but I'm hitting the trainer and doing the Saturday spinning and am starting to feel ok.  My legs were a little sore after spinning yesterday which means that I must have worked pretty hard.  Hopefully I'll get a couple of days on the road this week.  I need to start doing some climbing pretty soon.

Cavaliers

So... It looks like the Miami Heat will finish up with a worse record than last year's Cavaliers.  With 21 games to go, they wold have to go 18-3 to have the same record.  I haven't looked at there schedule, but it seems unlikely that they would be able to pull it off.  The question is then, will they be better in the playoffs?  First, you have to define better, since Cleveland actually made it to the NBA finals once and went deep into the playoffs the other LeBron years.  I think it's unlikely that they will do as well.  The reason I give is that I think the problem for Cleveland in the playoffs, especially the last 2 years has been LeBron himself.  The Cavs were really fun to watch during the regular season last year because they played real basketball. Sharing the ball, driving the lane, finding the open man.  But, in the playoffs they reverted to the ineffective technique of LeBron bringing the ball up, dribbling around until the shot clock was low and then taking a questionable shot.  Just wondering.
