Cycling and Stuff

I had another tachycardia episode starting Thursday 2/20/2014 and ending around 10 AM Friday 2/21/2014.  I noticed a prety high HR while warming up on the spinning bike.  When I got home I measured RHR at around 90-100. Friday it went back down to the mid 50's.

We are back from a quick trip to Florida with the tandem.  3 very nice riding days and 4 days of driving.  Upper 70's every day.  Day 1 we just did a shakedown cruise of 16 miles on the bike path.  We were also trying to get used to the Garmin to navigate pre built courses (this didn't happen until the next day)  Day 2 we decided to do the long ride of just under 50 miles, since we were unsure of the weather for day 3.  It was a very nice and pretty flat route to yalaha bakery.  We pigged out at the bakery and had 25 miles to work it off.  Day 3 we opted for a 30 mlie ride to Groveland which included the infamous Grassy Lake hill.  We didn't know about the hill in advance, we had to look it up after the ride.  The hill looked pretty intimidating as we approached and we shifted to the inner ring about 1/3 of the way up.  The grade hit 15% in spots and the climb was a little under a mile.  We did well, just taking our time.  All in all a great trip, but we should take a few more days next time.
